I’m not sure if I say this enough but I really do love Earth Eagle Brewing. I also love working two blocks away and being able to walk over after work and fill a growler and listen to Neil Young while it pours.

Holy Land USA was once an 18 acre Bible-themed park located in Waterbury, Connecticut. The park had about 40,000 visitors a year until it closed in 1984 for renovations. Holy Land USA never opened back up again due to the death of owner John Greco in 1986. It has been abandoned ever since. The abandoned acres of the theme park have been watched over by groups of nuns for decades, but the place keeps getting more and more creepy as the park continues to deteriorate.

On top of the vandalism and eeriness the park gives off, a teenager was murdered on these abandoned grounds in 2010. Since then police records have shown that the amount of trespassers have been decreasing which just means abandoned Holy Land USA is as creepy and deserted as ever.

this is my boy Ben. He tried his damnest to get me to see Deer Tick on a boat tonight. I got real, real drunk last night and passed out before 10 and missed his calls. Anyway, I’m getting my shit together now and figuring out my homeless life. I am eternally thankful to have great people in my life like Ben who want me to see great music. People like Kelcey who keep me housed and happy. And there’s my dearest Laura who came back from the Indy 500 to help clean an apartment that she had no part in making dirty for two years. I’m starting to babble but today seems like a turning point in my post graduate life as I have become able to filter out those around me who have my best interests at heart and the world seems to be getting smaller but better.

I’ve been doing the same thing, only the other day I forgot to delete one of those notes.

It was during a power point presentation that I realized that my last slide was the only one I didn’t check. So I went on for about ten minutes rambling about the effects that after school programs can have on juvenile delinquency rates and when I reached the final slide this is what appeared on the screen.
